Maybe you should try cleaning up your scans or draw over it again with a black brush
the background can be disturbing have u read my glitter tutorial? looks like a glitter effect, i dont know if its suppose to show that harsh! But also try to have the skin not in one color, maybe shadows on the skin and clothes

i don't know how to answer that questions, I have my style and Im sure you will create and develop you're own style after you practice some drawings
